Micromax’s YU has just announced that the Cyanogen OS 12 update is rolling out for YU YUREKA. The new update that brings Android 5.0 Lollipop will be rolled out in phases over the next 3 days.
The Cyanogen OS 12 update recently arrived on global OnePlus One devices and the YU YUREKA is getting it in India now. The new Cyanogen OS 12 brings a number of features that are part of Android 5.0 Lollipop like better notifications and lockscreen, Material Design interface, user accounts and more.
Cyanogen has also added its own features like a new App Themer, which lets you theme individual apps. The new update also brings Cyanogen’s new email experience powered by Boxer. Cyanogen users get the premium version of Boxer for free.
The new Cyanogen OS 12 also brings support for regional Indian languages like Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Rahul Sharma, Founder of YU commented on the roll-out, “The Cyanogen OS 12 update is a product of our passion and dedication towards reinventing and redefining the consumer experience and I am extremely excited to share it with our community.”
