An ultra-low budget smartphone from Coolpad has made it’s way to the US. The new $100 Coolpad Defiant will be a T-Mobile exclusive for now. The 5.0-inch handset is available on a monthly installment of $4 as well.
The Coolpad Defiant has an unnamed 1.4 GHz quad-core chip inside with 1 GB of RAM. It has 8 GB of internal storage, thankfully, you have microSD support up to 32 GB. Moreover, the phone has a 5.0-inch FWVGA display with of 480×854 pixels resolution. The phone is juiced up via a 2,450 mAh battery. Despite the low budget, Coolpad has managed to stuff in a 20 MP front camera and Android Nougat 7.0 in the small handset. The rear has a 5 MP camera.
For other connectivity options, Coolpad has put in LTE and VoLTE connectivity with HSPA+ promising up to 42 Mbps speeds. You get Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Right now, the Coolpad Defiant is exclusive to the US and we don’t know if it will be sold in other countries.
