Samsung has sent out invitations to the media inviting them for an Unpacked event scheduled for the August 29, just before the IFA start in Berlin where it plans to unveil another addition to its already popular Galaxy series.
With the invites it was being speculated that the Korean tech giant will unveil a successor to the Galaxy Note and now a talking to the Reuters, a Samsung Spokesperson has confirmed the same.
The spokesperson said:
We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29.
Previously it was being speculated that Sammy will unveil the next phablet, the Galaxy Note II at an event scheduled for August 15, but this has now been shifted to the August 29 and has also been confirmed.
So if you have been waiting for the next phablet it is time to mark the date on the calendar and save all the extra cash that you might need to get your hands over the Galaxy Note II.
Going by the specs, we expect Samsung to bring in the Galaxy Note II with a thinner and taller 5.5 inch display, powered by a quad-core processor, LTE, NFC, a 12-13 MP camera at the rear and ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out of the box.
