comScore recently released the mobile phone market share data for the three month period ending January 31st 2011. Among 65.8 million subscribers, Android grabbed 31.2% market share and leapfrogged RIM whose market share was down by 5.4% to 30.4%. Apple took the no.3 sport with 0.1 % increase to 24.7%. Microsoft kept losing huge chunks of market share and is now having mediocre 8% of market share. The table below lists the market share as per comScore’s report:
And in OEM market, Samsung has kept the no.1 spot at 24.9% market share while LG stayed at no.2 with 20.8% market share even though they lost 0.2% of market share. The biggest loser was Motorola, lost 1.2% of share. Apple on the other hand is right on the tail of RIM with only 1.6% difference between the two.
