With the increasing number of heavy mobile internet users, BSNL has launched two unlimited data plans for its post-paid users.
BSNL has announced the launch of its unlimited data plans for its post-paid users in the North zone which is targeted mainly towards youth and students. Currently the packs are available only in Haryana, Punjab, UP (West), UP (East), Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and J&K. however the same plans are expected to be offered across the country soon thereafter.
The unlimited data plans are available with monthly charges of Rs. 240 and Rs. 340. Surprisingly, BSNL has decided to cap usage on these plans at 1 GB and 2 GB respectively. After the allowed usage limit, users will get reduced speeds of just 80 Kbps. However, despite that the operator believes that it would be successful amongst the youth.
Speaking about the new plans, Anupam Shrivastava, BSNL Board Director (consumer mobility), said, “This offer is initially for North zone circles and subsequently it will be offered in all other circles as well. The offer is specifically useful for student community and youths.”
