With the data revolution just getting started in India, BSNL has now launched data sharing facility for their prepaid subscribers.
BSNL has announced the launch of the 3G Prepaid Data Sharing facility for its prepaid users. Under the plan, members can share their prepaid data with a group of up to five users. The user will have to assign one account as the Master account where the recharge is to be made and then data is shared to the other group members.
BSNL has launched special plans for the 3G Prepaid Data Sharing facility starting from Rs. 173 and going up to Rs. 2013. The Rs. 173 plan offers 1.2 GB of 3G data for 18 days and The Rs. 233 and Rs. 323 plans offer 1.2 GB and 2.4 GB of 3G data for 28 days. Similarly, The Rs. 493, Rs. 923 and Rs. 1223 plans offer 3.2 GB, 7 GB and 10 GB of 3G data for 60 days. Finally, The Rs. 2013 plan offers 21 GB of 3G data for 90 days.
To avail the BSNL 3G prepaid data sharing facility, the Master account has to login to the BSNL Mobile Selfcare Portal by entering the Mobile Number and authenticating it with the OTP received on the number. In the account portal, go to the ‘Friends & Family’ tab and click on ‘Group Account’. Here the user can create a new group, modify existing groups and recharge for the group.
