Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has today announced the upgrade of its plan Kolkata @ 5 for its users in Kolkata Telecom Circle.
With this upgrade BSNL has reduced the call tariff under this plan and also increased the freebies that it used to offer for new users opting in for this plan.
The freebies that BSNL has increased now includes free 600 On-Net Minutes, 150 Off Net Minutes, 50 MB Data, 50 Local & 25 National SMS Free as against the earlier 600 On net Minutes and 50 Local SMS were given to the subscribers.
Now BSNL users under the plan Kolkata @ 5 will be able to make calls as follows:

- Local On-Net calls to mobiles – 5p/minute
- Local On-net calls to landline – 20p/minute
- Local Off-net calls – 40p/minute
- STD (On Net) – 40p/min
- STD (Off Net) – 60p/min
National Roaming Calls:
- Local Onnet (Per Min) – 60p/minute
- Local Offnet (Per Min) – 80p/minute
- STD (On Net) – 80p/minute
- STD (Off Net) – Re.1/minute
- Incoming call (Per Min) – 60p/minute
- Local SMS – 60p
- National SMS – 70p
- ISD SMS -Rs. 5
National Roaming SMS:
- Local SMS – 70p
- National SMS – 70p
- International SMS – Rs. 5
This new modified Kolkata @ 5 plan is available from 01-08-2012 and is valid up to 29-10-2012.
