Putting an end to all rumours about the affordable BlackBerry smartphone, the company has officially announced the BlackBerry Z3.
BlackBerry has announced the launch of the BlackBerry Z3 in Indonesia. The affordable smartphone, which was known by the codename Jakarta, is built by Foxconn. The device has a 5 inch display with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the dual core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with the Adreno 305 GPU, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The BlackBerry Z3 has a 5 MP rear facing camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 1.1 MP camera. The phone runs on the latest BlackBerry 10 OS and has a 2500 mAh non-removable battery. The handset is priced at around $190. The company has however declared that the device is built exclusively for Indonesia and even comes with a special set of BBM Stickers that feature local characters “Punakawan”.
