The Blackberry Z10, which was launched in India at a price tag of Rs 43,490, had caused quite a lot of ridicule to Blackberry in the social circles. Now in what would come as a surprise Blackberry claims that it sold out its Z10 stocks in India within two days. Seems like the Blackberry boys were eagerly waiting for it.
As per the CEO of Blackberry, Thorsten Heins, the company shipped enough devices which they thought would last for at least five days. In less than two days he received an emergency call from their manager in India, saying that the devices were sold out. He said the delivery channels would re-loaded soon.
Heins said that the feedback is very encouraging and that is was even a surprise to them that BlackBerry 10 as a platform and product is attracting users that are currently on other platforms. He said that in just five weeks, the product has been shipped in 21 countries and would be available in the other countries soon. Blackberry is trying hard to recapture the smartphone market.
