Canadian giant BlackBerry has today announced the launch of its mid-range smartphone called the BlackBerry Q5 which also arrives with a full-QWERTY physical keyboard like the recently launched BlackBerry Q10.
The BlackBerry Q5 packs a 3.1 inch with a display resolution of 720 x 720 pixels but arrives with a IPS LCD display in contrast to the AMOLED display as on the BlackBerry Q10. The Q5 is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor which is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory on the BlackBerry Q5 is pegged at 8 GB which can be further expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
The BlackBerry Q5 carries a 5 MP autofocus camera on the back which is capable of recording videos at 1080p coupled with a LED Flash while the front facing 2 MP camera is capable of recording videos at 720p. The connectivity options included on the BlackBerry Q5 include Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, microUSB v2.0 and NFC.
The Q5 is powered by a powerful 2180 mAh battery which is a little extra than the one on the BlackBerry Q10. The BlackBerry Q5 is expected to be available in the market from authorized retailers starting tomorrow for Rs.24,990 and will be available in White, Black and Red colour options. The Smartphone will also be available on 0% EMI and 0 down payment options.
