While we were expecting a Blackberry Z10 Porsche Design model, the company has announced the device today for its elite customers.
BlackBerry has announced the launch of the BlackBerry P’9982 Porsche Design smartphone which is a limited edition BlackBerry handset with just 500 pieces worldwide. The smartphone sports a satin finished frame forged from the finest quality stainless steel, complemented by a hand-wrapped genuine Italian leather back door which is reportedly wrapped in genuine Crocodile leather.
The BlackBerry P’9982 Porsche Design smartphone has a special series of PIN numbers. The smartphone runs on the latest v10.2 of the BlackBerry 10 OS and has a host of features like the BlackBerry Priority Hub which helps to manage all the conversations and notifications. Also seen is the new BlackBerry keyboard and BBM Video with screen share which allows to share your display over video chat.
Camera apps like Time Shift mode starts capturing your picture before you even take it, thus letting you select the best picture. Similarly the Story maker lets you take a collection of photos and videos, and add music and effects, to create an HD movie. The smartphone would be available with the Porsche Design stores and a few selected retailers.
