We know that there are many of you who are desperately waiting for Research In Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry 10 OS and devices to launch so that you could grab one.
The Canadian giant is expected to launch the BlackBerry 10 OS running L-Series and N-Series smartphones in early 2013 (first week of January 2013) but if an analyst, Peter Misek is to be believed, then RIM might not launch the BlackBerry 10 until March 2013.
Misek wrote, “We had hoped for a January launch but now see a March launch as more likely.” He also mentions that the November will be tough quarter for RIM as he expects that “parties are unlikely to acquire or license from RIM until BB10 launches.”
Also RIM recently said that the company sees its new BlackBerry 10 OS gaining the third spot behind iOS and Android after the launch but Misek points out that all of it will depend if different OEMs licence RIM’s new OS or not.
For now we have a full quarter to go and hope that RIM works outs think in the right way and releases the BB10 OS and devices running on it as per the schedule.
