The Barnes and Noble users who have been suffering from monotony due to unavailability of apps are soon going to be relieved with the new update bringing the Google Play Store to the tablet.
With the latest OTA update for the Barnes and Noble Nook HD and the Barnes and Noble Nook HD+, users can now access the Google Play Store thus opening the doors to nearly 700,000 apps and games. Digital content like magazines, books and other video content will also soon be available to the users.
While the existing users of the Barnes and Noble Nook HD and the Barnes and Noble Nook HD+, will get the Play Store via update, new customers will get the service pre-installed form now on. At the same time Barnes and Noble’s own content store will remain available for users to use. The update will be available to users only on Wi-Fi connection from today and after update, the Chrome browser becomes the default browser on each slate with faster page rendering and unlimited tabs.
