With most of the smartphone vendors foraying into the wearable arena, Asus has put its first step in with the Asus ZenWatch.
Asus has announced the launch of the Asus ZenWatch, which is the company’s first wearable device. The watch has a 1.63 inch 2.5D curved glass display with a soft genuine stitched leather strap and quick release clasp. It also has -axis sensor, which can be used to monitor and track a range of wellness statistics including steps taken, calories burned, activity duration, heart rate, exercise intensity and relaxation level.
The Asus ZenWatch is powered by the Android Wear platform and has a layer of the company’s ZenUI designed especially for the smartwatch. The device can be paired with all Android devices running version 4.3 and higher. The watch runs on a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of memory.
