While Samsung had launched the camera-centric Galaxy S5 Zoom variant with an external camera module, Asus seems to be getting ready with its own camera-centric offering.
The Asus ZenFone Zoom, which is an upcoming camera-centric smartphone, was spotted at TENAA in China. The handset is said to be equipped with a 3X optical zoom module made by HOYA, which is said to be the thinnest available. The camera also sports Optical Image Stabilization and laser autofocus with an aperture of f/2.0.
The listing reveals that the Asus ZenFone Zoom would flaunt a 5.5 inch full HD display and would be powered by an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset. The handset would be available in 2 GB and 4 GB RAM variants with 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. The handset is expected to be priced at $399 (approx. Rs. 26000). The official release date is yet to be announced.
