ASUS launched the ZenFone 5 last year in February at MWC 2018. And we were expecting the company to launch its successor – the ZenFone 6 – at the ongoing MWC 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. However, that’s not happening as ASUS has announced that it will launch the ZenFone 6 in May.
ASUS has shared a video on Twitter announcing May 16 as the launch date of ZenFone 6. The video doesn’t reveal any details of the ZenFone 6, but it does hint at the smartphone coming with either an elevating selfie camera or a slider design.
The May 16 launch of the ASUS ZenFone 6 will be held in Valencia, Spain.
Earlier this month, live images of what’s allegedly the ZenFone 6 Pro leaked online giving us a look at the front and back sides of the phone. On the front, the smartphone has an 18:9 display with a physical home button below. And round the back, the smartphone has triple cameras stacked vertically in the top-left corner.
The images also revealed a gradient finish on the back of the ZenFone 6 Pro.
Coming back to the ZenFone 6, not much is known about this smartphone right now, but hey, we are more than two months away from the launch, so expect to hear a lot more about this smartphone in the coming weeks.
