Listing out its quick specs, the ZenFone 3S Max sports an average 5.2-inch 720p display powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek MT6750 chip, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. It comes with a 13 MP rear and 8 MP front camera package. These specifications are below mid-range and thus do not consume much battery power. Hence, the 5000 mAh battery should last longer.
The 5000 mAh battery does last longer than expected. I got the phone running for 3 days with 20% battery left. Our test was below moderate use and it may cross 4 days if used lightly. Our test includes YouTube videos playback, SoundCloud music playback, some games and a few large apps downloaded over Wi-Fi.
The ZenFone 3S Max runs a very good battery life. In addition, its battery saving modes can stretch the battery even longer. The battery life is significantly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Coolpad Cool 1 Dual.
