As of now, all we knew about the Asus ZenFone 3 was that it will feature a fingerprint scanner and is expected to be launched in May/June this year, other than that, we didn’t have much information about Asus’s next ZenFone. But now, two Asus smartphones are spotted on GFXBench and are expected to be a part of the ZenFone 3 lineup.
The two Asus smartphones that are spotted on GFXBench website along with their specs carry model number Z010DD and Z012D. The Asus Z010DD is powered by 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor along with 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. It boasts off a 5.9-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) screen, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 32GB of internal storage. The Z010DD is geared with 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
Whereas, on the other hand, the Asus Z012D has a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor under the hood which is accompanied by 3GB RAM and Adreno 510. It boasts off a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Z012D also has 32GB of internal storage on board.
As can been seen in the specs, the Z012D clearly looks a high-end phone whereas the Z010D is more of a low-end phone among the two. The ZenFone 2 phones carry model numbers Z008 or Z00AD, so we can expect both the Z010DD and Z012D to be a part of the ZenFone 3 lineup.
The company hasn’t made any announcement regarding these two models but we expect some more news regarding the Asus ZenFone 3 soon.
