While Asus has unveiled the ZenFone smartphone range, it also introduced a new Windows tablet that comes with a stylus for more comfort – the Asus VivoTab Note 8.
The Asus VivoTab Note 8 is designed for one-hand usage and has comparatively slim bezels. The device has an 8 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The tablet is powered by Intel’s latest quad core Atom Z3740 processor which is clocked at 1.8 GHz along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. There is also dedicated Intel HD graphics support.
The Asus VivoTab Note 8 has a 5 MP rear facing camera and a front facing HD camera. The tablet has two rear stereo speakers using the SonicMaster audio technology. The device comes with the integrated Wacom digitizer stylus pen which offers over a thousand levels of pressure sensitivity for comfortable usage. The tablet runs on the Windows 8.1 OS and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Home and Student edition. The device is priced at $299.
