While we just shared with you about the ASUS MeMo Pad Smart 10.1-inch tablet reaching Thailand, the company has now officially announced the launch of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor powered device and priced it at $299.
The ASUS MeMo Pad Smart arrives with a 10.1-inch 10-point multi-touch IPS display which gives a brilliant image with 170-degree wide viewing angles and 350 nits brightness while the resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels.
The tablet is is powered by a powerful 1.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB RAM while the internal storage is pegged at 16 GB which can be expandable using a microSD card slot. The ASUS MeMo Pad Smart runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box while there is a 5 MP camera on the rear and a 1.2 MP front facing camera for video chats.
Pronounced “meemo”, MeMO stands for “My Mobile. My Moment” and reflects the position of ASUS MeMO Pad as a tablet for people on the go. ASUS has also launched the Folio Key which is an optional accessory and a wrap-around protective cover for MeMO Pad Smart with an integral Bluetooth keyboard for easy productivity, at home or on the move.
ASUS has not shared any information as to when the tablet will be made available in carious markets, so we will have to wait a while until we hear more from the company.
