With the two big launches yesterday, the IFA 2013 has started picking up. Asus followed soon after and launched two new affordable tablets.
Asus has announced the Asus MeMO Pad 8 and the Asus MeMO Pad 10, which has a remarkably same design except of the variation in screen size. Both the devices are powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor with 1 GB of RAM. Both the Android tablets have a dual-speaker at the back, and will both come with a protective sleeve that can be used as a stand.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has an 8 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The device, which weighs just 350 grams, is equipped with two cameras – a rear facing 5 MP camera and a front facing 1.2 MP camera. The tablet has a 3950 mAh battery which can provide up to 9 hours of continuous 720p HD video playback.
The Asus MeMO Pad 10, on the other hand, has a 10 inch display and is a little heavier weighing 522 grams. The tablet has a smaller 2 MP rear facing camera but increased storage of 16 GB. The device has a 5070 mAh battery which can provide 9.5 hours of continuous 720p HD video playback.
