Earlier this week, we reported about ASUS’ plans on launching a $265 device which would feature a Intel processor and could be called the ASUS Fonepad K004. And today, an image of the alleged back of the Fonepad has popped up online.
While not much of the device was visible, the Intel Inside logo was distinctly visible. The photo also showed the speaker grille. Interestingly, the photo might be of the aluminium body, as that is what sources believe.
The Asus Fonepad will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 Processor and supported by 1 GB of RAM. The tablet is expected to run on the Android Jelly Bean OS. The device would have two cameras, a rear 3.2 megapixel and a front 1.2 megapixels.
Expected Specifications of the ASUS Fonepad:
- 7-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution
- 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 Processor
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage
- 3.2 Megapixels rear camera
- 1.2 megapixels front facing camera
- Google Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- 4270 mAh battery
The device which is a front runner in the most affordable tablets should be on display at the Mobile World Congress. So we’ll have to wait a few days more to know more details about the ASUS Fonepad.
