After launching the MeMO Pad 7, Asus also launched the successor to the FonePad series – the Asus Fonepad 7 and the new Fonepad 8.
Asus has announced the launch of the refreshed Asus Fonepad 7 and the new Fonepad 8. Both the tablets have a compact design with a very narrow bezel, dual front speakers and screen-to-body ratio of 72.2 percent. Both the tablets have the exact same specs except for the screen size. The Fonepad 7 has a 7 inch display whereas the Fonepad 8 has an 8 inch display, both with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The Asus Fonepad 7 and the Fonepad 8 are powered by a 1.83 GHz quad core Intel Atom processor with 1 GB of RAM. The tablets are equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 2 MP camera. The devices come installed with the latest Android KitKat version with a layer of the ZenUI and have a battery that is said to last for 10 hours.
