With security becoming a major concern for smartphone users, Apple has expanded its secure two step verification feature for the Apple ID to more countries.
The two step verification feature for the Apple ID, which was currently available in a few countries like the US, UK and a few other countries, is now expanded to a total of 59 countries which also includes India. Other newly added countries include China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Greece and Mexico.
The two step verification feature for the Apple ID requires the user to enter a verification code to sign in with their Apple ID. The verification code, which is a 4 digit code, can be received via SMS or even through the Find My iPhone app. This process offers users more security and reduces the chances of attempts to compromise the account for malicious purposes.
