After hearing reports suggesting that the upcoming 4 inch iPhone would be called as the iPhone 5se, we now have some new details about the handset.
According to sources, the 4 inch iPhone 5se would be powered by the A9 chipset with the M9 motion co-processor, instead of the expected A8 chipset. This move is said to be done considering that the company plans on using the A10 chip on the next flagship iPhone. If the rumour is true, the upcoming smartphone would be on-par with the current flagship handset in terms of the processor.
Interestingly, Apple is said to offer the 4 inch iPhone 5se in two variants based on storage – an entry level 16 GB variant and a massive 64 GB variant. Further, the company also intends to discontinue the iPhone 5s after the release of the iPhone 5se, which is touted to be the enhanced variant of the iPhone 5s.
