Apple is gearing towards launching a revolutionary smartwatch in 2014 and has made all preparations for such. Apple iWatch, it seems will not just have experienced smartphone makers behind it – it has hired medical wearables experts to develop fitness related functions for the iWatch.
One of the specialists hired, Nancy Doherty, was behind a patch made of micro needles, which can detect your blood glucose and potassium levels. If the Apple iWatch endows a similar function, it might become a boon for diabetics. The other employee hired is Ravi Narasimhan who was behind the development of a disposable heart monitor that can give out an ECG for 3 days straight.
Rest assured, the Apple iWatch will surely be interesting and ahead of its league.
