While Apple has announced the iPad Air 2, it also launched the latest iPad mini version – the Apple iPad Mini 3.
Apple has announced the launch of the Apple iPad Mini 3, which is the company’s next generation iPad mini tablet. The device has a 7.9 inch Retina display with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating and resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Unlike the previous versions, this tablet comes equipped with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner.
The Apple iPad Mini 3 is powered by the same old Apple A7 processor that was used in the last year’s iPad Mini. The device also has a M7 motion co-processor. The tablet is available in 16 GB 64 GB and 128 GB variants.
The Apple iPad Mini 3 has a 5 MP rear facing iSight camera with f/2.4 aperture, capable of recording 1080p videos. There is also a front facing 1.2 MP HD camera with f/2.2 aperture. The device runs on the latest iOS 8.1 version with a 23.8 watt hour battery which promises 10 hours of usage time. The tablet is available in variants priced at $399, $499 and $599 for the 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants respectively.
