Now this is an interesting scoop for the weekend. If a report in MacRumours is to be believed, then Apple might launch the iPad 5 alongside the iPad Mini 2 as early as in March this year. Yes you read it right!
According to a report released by Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White, his ‘checks’ at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013 indicate that a new iPad and a iPad Mini are just a couple of months away from the launch.
Though Apple did not appear and participate at the CES 2013, mumblings about the new iPads did do the rounds and White has said in the report,
Our checks at CES indicate Apple will release the iPad 5 and the second-generation iPad mini this March. The iPad 5 is expected to be lighter and thinner than the iPad 4 that was released in October, while the form factor of the iPad mini should be similar to the first generation iPad mini that debuted in October.
So the iPad 5 is expected to be lighter and thinner when compared to the iPad 4 whereas iPad Mini’s form factor will remain the same as its predecessor. But interestingly there is no mention if the iPad Mini 2 will arrive with the much-needed and lately rumored Retina Display.
For now, there is no substantial leak or more information to support this report from White so we will wait for a while and advise all our readers to take this piece of news with a grain of salt.
