After creating a lot of suspense over the next version of the iOS, Apple announced the iOS 7 operating system for mobile devices at its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC).
The iOS 7, which is touted to be the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone, seems to be totally redesigned. The UI of iOS 7 adopts more flat design principles along with a new font. Also there seems to be a massive addition to the colour palette of the UI. Interestingly, a lot of transparency and translucency effects are added to the iOS 7.
A major feature added in the iOS 7 is the Control Centre which provides quick access to controls and toggle buttons, like Wi-Fi. Multitasking has also been quite improved with side-by-side list of apps displayed in card form. Safari browser for the iOS 7 has a new and improved intelligent search field.
Another major modification is seen in the iOS 7 camera. The camera modes can be changed with a simple sideward swipe on the screen. New photo filters have been added. Also photos can be sent to the person in the photos using AIrDrop.
