Recent reports have been suggesting an update for the Android KitKat version. While we thought it would be a universal update, it now seems that the update is limited to the Nexus devices.
According to sources, both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 (2013 Edition) have been seen running the new Android v4.4.3 version, thus raising doubts that the update could be limited to the Nexus devices only. The version seen on the device is codenamed Hammerhead and has build number KTU83, which matches the earlier rumoured build number.
Previous rumours have specifically mentioned that the Android 4.4.3 update would bring bug fixes to Nexus device camera. This further adds weight to the fact that this could be a limited release update. Further, with the Android 4.5 expected in the second half of this year, it would make no sense to have a full-blown update just a few weeks earlier. Should the Android 4.4.3 update be real, we can expect it to be released in the next few weeks.
