While we have our hopes up that Nokia would also announce its first Android powered smartphone at the launch event scheduled on February 24, the expected name of the device has been revealed.
According to noted tipster, who in fact was the first to blow the lid off the Nokia’s Android smartphone project, the device, which is known as Normandy, would be launched as the Nokia X. However, this naming somehow reminds us of the Moto X. The press renders of the device available hint that the device would run off a heavily customized Android version.
As of now the launch date of the device is still not confirmed. While there were rumours of the Normandy launching on Tuesday, the 25th, it still is confused between March 25 and February 25. However in wake of the recent invite to a launch event on February 24, we might see the device on stage, thus making it ready in time for the MWC 2014.
