While Google just released the factory images of the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Nexus devices, the company has now started releasing the update for the Android One smartphones.
Google has apparently started releasing the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates to the Android One smartphones in India. Reports suggest that the Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream UNO and Karbonn Sparkle V have already received the updates. The update, which weighs 338.1 MB, is being rolled out Over-the-Air (OTA) and would be rolled out to users gradually.
Interestingly, Google still hasn’t released the OTA updates for the Nexus devices, thus making the Android One smartphones the first to actually automatically receive the updates. The new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update brings App Permissions, Web Experience, App Links, Mobile Payments, Fingerprint Support and Power & Charging.
