As Google promised, the Android L Developer Preview has now been released for the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 (2013) WiFi. Android developers can download the preview through the Android SDK Manager.
Google unveiled Android L a couple of days back and it has been touted as the biggest release in the history of Android. The interface has been revamped with the new Material Design language. There’s a new Roboto font for more seamless user experience and a lot more. Google said in a blog post, “The Developer Preview lets you explore features and capabilities of the L release and get started developing and testing on the new platform.”
Although the Android L Developer Preview, as the name suggests, is aimed at developers, so that they can start updating their apps for the new Android version but Android enthusiasts can surely go ahead and download the preview on their devices. You’ll have to keep in mind though that there will be bugs and other problems and not all the features will be available in the very first release.
Along with the release of the Android L Preview, Google has also released the full SDK of Android Wear and the preview SDK for Android L. So, if you are an Android developer, you should better get downloading. And for people wanting to get the Android L Preview on their devices, you can download the Android L Developer preview from here.
