With most of the people getting hyped about the upcoming Nexus device along with the latest Android version that would be loaded onto the device, we have some new images showing is what is new and different.
To begin with, the new Android KitKat v4.4 will get a transparent Notification bar with white colored icons for battery, signal strength etc. the same would also apply for the Navigation Bar below. While you could currently access the camera from the lock screen by swiping right, the v4.4 would have a camera icon on the lower right corner. A similar feature has already been implemented in the new iOS 7.
The menu background, which previously would have a black background, would now be replaced with the home screen wallpaper. The menus icons have an increased size and also sport a flat look. However, the quick start applications have been limited to just two. Interestingly, we can expect Google Now to receive the always-on functionality, like that seen in the Moto X. Lastly, Google Hangouts may replace the normal SMS service. Are you excited about the Android KitKat?
