Google has released the Android distribution chart for the past two weeks, which shows us the standing of different versions of Android OS running on devices. For the first time Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is features in this chart and it goes on to tell us that the Android ICS runs on about 0.6% of all Android devices out there.
The Android ICS numbers comprises of Android 4.0 to Android 4.0.2 with 0.3% which is available on the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0.3 with 0.3% whose rollout is under process for the Samsung Nexus S. In the coming few weeks the share of ICS is bound to increase as all major OEMs are planning to release the ICS upgrade for selected devices.
Android 3.x Honeycomb now runs on 3.3 percent of all devices. Android 2.3 Gingerbread still rules the chart with about 55.5 percent. Android 1.5 Cupcake contributes about 0.6%, Android 1.6 Donut holds 1.1%, Android 2.1 Éclair still has 8.5% share while Android 2.2 Froyo stands behind Gingerbread with 30.4% of Android devices running on the OS.
