While we are used to seeing the Nexus devices get the latest Android updates first, things seem to be changing now. Apparently, the Android Wear powered smartwatches are now receiving the Android 5.0.2 updates, which makes them the first devices to get this latest update.
The Android Wear devices that are receiving the update include the popular Moto 360, the LG G Watch, Samsung’s Gear Live and Sony’s Smartwatch 3. As the number suggests, the Android 5.0.2 update isn’t really a major update. The update brings a number of fixes and stability improvements.
The update fixes the issues people were encountering with the Google Fit services and according to a report, people who have updated their devices are already seeing some improvements in performance. The update also brings updated Google Play Services.
The new update is rolling out to Android Wear watches in phases, so it might take some time to finally reach all the regions. Do tell us, if you receive the update.
