Last week we saw an official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM leak for the Samsung Galaxy S III and it was believed that the update might be arriving for international unlocked S III’s very soon.
But today in a report from CNET, it seems that the Korean giant has decided to push the release of the latest iteration of the Android OS, 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S III to the month of October.
Yes this is indeed sad news for all the Galaxy S III smartphone users but then we are almost half way through September already and are just weeks away from October so it might not be that hard to wait another couple of weeks.
Along with this Samsung Sweden also took over to its Facebook page and has posted a timeline for different updates for its various smartphones and according to the timeline, Galaxy S III would be getting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade during October-November.
Also the timeline indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S II will also get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean love in November.
We know a lot of you who own a Galaxy S III and also Galaxy S II are waiting for the upgrade impatiently but we would like to tell you that these timelines are still speculative as you never know; Samsung may decide to release the upgrade tomorrow itself.
