Huawei announced the Mate 8 last year with 6-inch Full-HD display and Kirin 950 octa-core processor. Now a device which might be the successor to the Mate 8 has popped up on GFXBench.
This device listed on GFXBench might be the Huawei Mate 9 which will be successor to the Mate 8. It’s powered by HiSilicon Hi3660 octa-core processor which is clocked at 2.6 GHz and paired with 4 GB RAM. Graphics department on this device is handled by Mali-T880 GPU.
The device features a 5.9-inch Full-HD display and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. It has 64 GB of internal storage and features a 12 MP rear camera along with an 8 MP front camera.
Back in April, there were reports pointing at Kirin 960 SoC and 20 MP dual rear camera setup on the Mate 9, hence, we suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt as nothing’s ever official and confirmed until the company says so.
