With Samsung all set to push its Galaxy Note 3 to the world later today, Alcatel, which just announced the Idol X, decided to stun the world with its new phablet, the Alcatel One Touch Hero, which is directly marked against the Note 3.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero has specs which are remarkably similar to those expected on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The device has a 6 inch full HD IPS display with stylus support. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero, which is the successor to the Alcatel One Touch Scribe HD, is equipped with two cameras – a rear facing 13 MP camera and a front facing 2 MP camera. The device runs on the Android v4.2.2 with 3400 mAh battery.
The Alcatel One Touch Hero, while not the first, has a 12Lm pico projector add-on which would allow users to project an image larger than 70 inches. The device has a dedicated e-Ink cover and a MagicFlip cover which is connected to the device through a series of pins on the back and provides notifications using LED lights embedded into the cover.
