French smartphone and tablet brand Alcatel launched the Alcatel POP4 10 4G tablet in India last week with a price tag of ₹10,999. Now, the company has launched yet another tablet in India, dubbed Alcatel A3 10.
The Alcatel A3 10 is a budget tablet. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT8127 quad-core processor which is paired with 1 GB RAM. The tablet runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box which is a huge let down. That said, as evident from the name, the Alcatel A3 10 sports a 10-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.
The Alcatel A3 10 also has a 5 MP camera at the back for occasional photography, and of course, there’s also a 2 MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. Having said that, the tablet has 16 GB of storage on-board, but, you can also expand the storage up to 32 GB via microSD card.
The Alcatel A3 10 doesn’t support 4G, however, it does come with Wi-Fi support so that you can connect to any Wi-Fi hotspot to browse the Internet on it. The tablet comes in three colors – Black, Volcano Black and White – and, providing fuel to this package is a 4060 mAh battery.
Having said that, there’s another model of the Alcatel A3 10 which has 10.1-inch display and is powered by MediaTek’s MT8735B processor that’s coupled with 2 GB RAM. Moreover, it also supports 4G VoLTE, runs Android 7.0 Nougat, and, has 4600 mAh battery under the hood. However, it costs ₹2000 more than the Wi-Fi only variant.
