Given the government’s decision to terminate the Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes in India, Airtel and Vodafone have extended the deadline for bill payment.
Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India have announced that the deadline to pay mobile phone bills has been further extended by three days so as to not inconvenience its subscribers. As such, post-paid customers who had their Pay by date scheduled for these days can pay their bills till November 15. Further, prepaid customers would also be offered talk time and data loans to ensure continued services.
Speaking about the move, an Airtel spokesperson said, “We are extending bill payment due date for post-paid customers by up to 3 days and will provide some talk time/data loan to prepaid customers to ensure there is continuity of services and they are not inconvenienced.”
