Bharti Airtel has today announced the introduced world’s first free intercontinental incoming roaming service that would go on to allow Airtel’s subscribers in Africa to enjoy free incoming calls while roaming in three countries viz. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
This great facility will allow Airtel’s users in 17 countries of Africa to roam freely in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
About 60 million Airtel subscribers in Africa will be able to make use of it and roam at affordable tariff in the three countries. Businessmen, tourists, students and more people will surely go on to benefit from this free roaming facility as it’ll let them stay in touch with their loved ones back in Africa.
Airtel users travelling to these countries will not need any kind of activation for the service as it will be automatically activated for all customers travelling to the mentioned countries.
Indeed a nice move by Airtel and we hope that a similar service is introduced by Airtel for its subscribers in India.
