While Airtel was recently caught in the storm due to the net neutrality issue, the operator is now launching attractive schemes to woo its customers.
Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of its new voice calling packs for broadband customers. Under the new plan, customers can avail unlimited local calls at Rs. 49 per month and unlimited local and STD calls at Rs. 99 per month. However, both the plans are available only for home broadband users for non-commercial use.
To activate the unlimited calling plan, Airtel broadband customers are required to send an SMS from their registered mobile number (charges apply) to 53636 with ‘UNL49’ for the Rs. 49 pack and ‘UNL99’ for the Rs. 99 pack. Surprisingly, Airtel has mentioned that Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 5000 minutes would be applicable on the plans.
Commenting on the new plans, Airtel said, “Customers can enjoy unlimited free local calls with the pack priced at Rs. 49 per month and unlimited free STD + local calls at Rs. 99 per month to any network, anywhere in the country to both landlines and mobile phones round the clock.”
