While Airtel has been gradually rolling out its 4G LTE services across India, the company has now launched the service across 296 towns nationwide.
Bharti Airtel has announced the launch of its 4G services in 296 towns across India. The operator offers the services 2300MHz TDD-LTE (band 40) and 1800MHz FDD-LTE (band 3) and can be accessed on mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles.
Airtel has also launched several Infinity Plans starting at Rs. 999 which offer unlimited voice calls, including roaming on mobile, 4G data and access to Wynk Movies and Wynk Music. The Rs. 999 plan offers 3GB of data, Rs. 1749 plan offers 5GB of data, Rs. 2249 plan offers 7GB of data and Rs. 3249 plan offers 15GB of data. All the plans are valid for 28 days.
Speaking about the launch, Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO, Bharti Airtel (India & South Asia), said, “At Airtel, the customer is at the heart of everything we do and therefore we first opened our 4G network to some of them for their valuable feedback. With the help of the feedback received from the beta launches, we have now built India’s first commercial 4G network that will make high speed mobile broadband a reality.
