While Airtel has been expanding rapidly, the company has now become the third largest mobile operator in the world.
Bharti Airtel has announced that it has become the third largest mobile operator in the world in terms of subscribers. As per the ranking from World Cellular Information Service (WCIS), Airtel is now third after China Mobile and Vodafone Group. Bharti Airtel is currently into various operations which include mobile, fixed line & DSL and DTH services.
Currently Airtel boasts of providing service to over 1.85 billion people in 20 countries globally. The operator handled over 1.23 trillion minutes of calls and over 333 petabytes of data in FY 2014-15. The company is also one of the first to offer 4G LTE services in over 30 cities across India.
