If you are someone who keeps up with the telecom news, you must be aware that Reliance Jio was offering 90 days of unlimited 4G data to its users as a part of Preview Offer. Even though the 4G services have now been commercially launched, Jio will continue to provide unlimited 4G data to its users till the end of this year.
This has made things difficult for other telecom operators and they are coming up with different ways to counter Reliance Jio. The state run BSNL yesterday announced that it will offer free voice calling and plans cheaper than Reliance Jio to its customers. And now today, Airtel has announced a free data pack which will offer 4G data to its customers for 90 days.
Now, if you are wondering if Airtel is offering unlimited 4G data under this new offer or not, the answer is that this offer is subjected to Fair Usage Policy, so basically, you will get 30 GB of 4G data under this new Airtel 4G plan. As far as pricing is concerned, existing Airtel customers can do a recharge of ₹1495 to avail this offer, whereas, the new customers can avail this offer with a recharge of ₹1494.
As of now, this pack is available in Delhi circle along with FUP (fair usage policy), however, Airtel will avail this pack across other circles in the coming days.
To put it in one line, Airtel is offering 30 GB 4G data for Rs. 1495, which will be valid for 90 days. This surely isn’t a bad deal after all, considering the pathetic 4G speeds that Jio is currently offering. What do you think?
