Acer’s Iconia B1 is lately in the news for all the good reason. The yet-to-be-announced 7-inch tablet is expected to be unveiled the upcoming Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2013 and today the existence of the tablet has been confirmed by Acer themselves.
The tablet’s product page went LIVE on Acer’s website for a short period and was later removed but can now be found in Google Cache.
The page confirms the specifications that the Acer Iconia B1 is expected to pack in and which include a 7-inch Capacitive touch screen with display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and the internal memory will be expandable up to 32 GB.
The Iconia B1 will run on Android Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box and weighs just 320 grams according to the page. It will have a front facing camera which could be used to having video chats.
Yesterday there was also a report which suggested that after the launch at CES 2013, Acer could make the tablet available in India by the end of January for a price tag of Rs.7,999.
