Ever since Nokia made a comeback at the MWC 2017 with the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, people have been waiting to get the device in their hands. Especially in India. Now the wait is over. HMD Global, the company behind Nokia, have started sending invites for an event to be held in New Delhi on June 13. The famous Nokia 3310 is already available in India. Now the Nokia 3,5 and 6 powered by Android 7.0 will be too.
Nokia 3
The Nokia 3 will be the ultra-affordable smartphone from Nokia. It will have a 5.0-inch HD IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass. The 5-incher from Nokia has a quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor with 2GB of RAM. 16GB of storage is on-board with up to 128 GB microSD card expansion. The camera at he back has an 8MP sensor as well as the front. The battery is of 2650 capacity. Nokia 3 comes with Android Nougat and has support for 4G VoLTE.
Nokia 5
The Nokia 5 is the bigger sibling of the Nokia 3 and carries some upgrades over it. A slightly bigger 5.2-inch HD display (1280 X 720 pixels) comes with Corning Gorilla Glass. The processor is also an upgrade here as it is the Snapdragon 430 processor with the same 2GB of RAM and the same storage. The rear camera sees a better 13MP sensor which supports Full HD video recording and an 8MP front facing sensor. It will also run on the Android Nougat.
Nokia 6
The Nokia 6 is a mid-range smartphone contender. It has a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS LCD display. On top of it is 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass. Nokia disappoints us here with the Snapdragon 430 processor where at least the Snapdragon 650 or 625 would have been much better for performance. 4GB of RAM is more than what the average user wants. The internal storage is also abundant at 64GB expandable upto 128 GB like all other models. The Nokia 6 features an average 3000 mAh battery. For the camera experience, the Nokia 6 is equipped with a 16MP rear sensor, with an f/2.0 aperture with dual LED flash. While at the front is an 8MP sensor. It runs on Android Nougat as well. In fact, Nokia has just promised Android O for all these 3 devices when the update will be available.
No official word on pricing is yet known so we will have to wait for the launch event to see the actual prices.
