As part of its comeback strategy, Nokia had unveiled the refreshed version of the popular Nokia 3310. Now the company has launched the handset in the Indian market.
HMD Global, the promoter of the Nokia handset brand, has announced the launch of the new Nokia 3310 in the Indian market. The feature phone offering has a 2.4 inch colour display with the t9 keypad. The handset has dual SIM support but with only 2G connectivity.
The new Nokia 3310 has a 2 MP rear facing camera with LED flash. The handset is powered by the Nokia Series 30+ platform and has an in-built LED torchlight. The battery promises a standby time of 25.3 days and talk time of 22.1 hours.
The new Nokia 3310 is priced at Rs. 3310 and would be available in Warm Red, Yellow, Dark Blue and Grey colour options. Being a feature phone, Nokia has decided to only retain the nostalgia associated with the Nokia 3310 handset instead of competing with the smartphones, which are priced almost similarly.
Speaking about the launch, Ajey Mehta, VP-India, HMD, Global, “Talk all day on a single charge, send texts, take pictures and enjoy a pocket jukebox with a built-in FM Radio and MP3 player. Our reinvention of this classic design is sure to make you smile. It’s got everything you remember, but with a modern twist. So whether you’re after a feature phone that offers amazing battery life in a head turning design or a companion phone, the Nokia 3310 won’t let you down.”
