Micromax has come up with a smartphone with brilliant specifications and a dual camera on the back. It comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass. The phone is a performance powerhouse on its own, it boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 CPU with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The battery is a 3,200 mAh with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. These specs of Micromax Dual 5 define the smoothness and lag-free experience.
The Dual 5 has an all metal body with chamfered edges, hence, the design and build quality is fantastic. It gives you a grip holding it. The thin display bezels look beautiful, there is an overall 86% screen to body ratio. The backside has two antenna lines on top and bottom. It comes with a 3D antenna technology i.e. stereoscopic multi-antenna added within the body to enhance the signal strength.
Micromax Dual 5 flaunts two cameras on the back, both 13 MP to capture images with bookeh effect. The camera has a monochrome sensor that takes B/W images and another RGB sensor that takes captures colors. With this camera setup, the Dual 5 captures 4 times more light than a normal single lens camera phone. Both the cameras are covered with Corning Gorilla Glass. The front has a 13 MP camera with LED flash which tells us it can take good selfies in low-light scenarios.
The camera has the ability to record 4K videos, Slow Motion videos, GIFs, MV (that creates a movie with built-in visual and music effects), and 3D video. More features it offers are Pro mode, Slow Shutter, Macro Mode and Anti Haze.
The Micromax Dual 5 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. Micromax has done great optimizations on the software front. It gives you bank level and un-hackable security. Unlike phones that offer just a software level security, Dual 5 comes with a dedicated hardware security support making it one of the most secured phones. The Dual 5 saves all user credentials and security passwords in the dedicated security hardware chip encrypted.
There are three physical keys on the device, the right has volume control and a power key and the left has a special smart key that snaps the photos and can be assigned for a quick task. The SIM tray is hybrid so you can put two nano SIMs or a MicroSD on SIM2 slot. The phone supports 4G network and VoLTE enabled.
Micromax Dual 5 uses the new USB Type-C port whereas many devices still offer the standard USB port. The right grill holds a loudspeaker while the left one has a microphone. The second microphone is on the backside above the dual cameras. It features an IR Blaster on top along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
